Myrbetriq ® (mirabegron)



      Brand Name: Myrbetriq ®
      Generic name: mirabegron

     Uses: to treat involuntary leakage of urine, to decrease sudden strong feelings to urinate
     How it works: Acts on the muscles of the bladder to help with the filling and storage of urine

     Most common side effects: High blood pressure, cold-like symptoms, infection in the urinary system, headache
     Serious side effects: Heart problems, Stroke, prostate cancer

     Dose: Available as 25 mg and 50 mg extended-release tablet
     Starting Dose: 25 mg by mouth once a day with or without food
     Dose may be increased to 50 mg by mouth once daily

     Who cannot use this medication: End-stage kidney disease, severe liver problems, severe uncontrolled high blood pressure
