  • Brandname: Stendra® 
  • Generic: avanafil  
 
  • Uses: Erectile dysfunction
  • How it works: Relaxes muscles and increases blood flow to particular areas of the body.
 
  • Common side effects: Redness or warmth in face, neck, or chest, headache, mild dizziness, cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sinus pain, or sore throat, diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, or back pain.
  • Serious side effects: Changes in vision or sudden vision loss, sudden hearing loss, chest pain, pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in one or both legs, shortness of breath, swelling in your hands or feet, penis erection that is painful or lasts 4 hours or longer.
 
  • Who cannot use this medication: People with previous allergic reaction to avanafil or any component of the formulation; concurrent (regular or intermittent) use of organic nitrates (i.e. nitroglycerin) in any form, women, and children less than 18 years old



  • Dose: Available as 50mg, 100mg, 200 mg
    • 100 mg by mouth 30 minutes before sexual activity
